Build a solid foundation in healthcare knowledge and essential patient care skills before you ever set foot in a clinical environment.

50% Clinical Training

Hands-on, supervised experience in real healthcare settings — so you're ready from day one on the job.


What You’ll Learn

  • Healthcare fundamentals: Anatomy, safety protocols, infection control, and medical terminology
  • Hands-on patient care: Vital signs, activities of daily living (ADL) assistance, and safe patient movement
  • Communication skills: Working effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Life-saving certifications: BLS, First Aid, CPR, and AED
  • Grading: Pass/Fail — based on course completion and skills evaluation

  • In-person clinical training — hands-on experience remains essential and in-person

This will allow students to balance their education alongside work and family commitments, while still gaining the real-world skills employers expect.


Certification

After completing the Nurse Aide Course, students qualify to sit the Prometric Hawaii Nurse Aide certification exam — the pathway to the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential.
